We are Martine and Malu, two friends with a shared passion for creativity and sustainability. We founded Wollo with immense pleasure: a place where our love for entrepreneurship and design comes together. From carefully selecting the most beautiful vintage blankets to designing unique clothing and making cheerful animals; in our own studio, we do everything together.
For us, a 'Wollo' is more than just a product. We hope to make people happy with sustainable gifts that put a smile on their faces. We believe that together we can contribute to a slightly more beautiful world. For us, sustainability lies not only in the materials we reuse, but also in the story we tell and the message we pass on. De dino, giraf en olifant zijn heel dun gevuld, waardoor ze heerlijk licht aanvoelen en extra zacht zijn voor kleine handjes.
Sustainably packaged, consciously shipped
For us, it's not just about what's inside the package, but also about how it's delivered to you. That's why we ship all our packages in recycled PostNL shipping bags.
Instead of using new plastic shipping bags, we give existing materials a second life. Old PostNL bags are carefully cut to size by us and reprocessed into sustainable shipping bags for our parcels. In this way, we reduce the use of new plastic and make sustainable parcel shipping a little better for the environment.
With this small, creative step, we are trying to be more mindful of materials that would otherwise be thrown away. We also hope to inspire others to send packages more sustainably and to be creative with something that occurs so often in e-commerce and online orders: shipping a package.
It may be a small difference, but if more and more people choose sustainable packaging and recycled shipping materials, that small difference will eventually become much bigger.
Hug with a heart
At Wollo, we create handmade products with love and care in our own studio. We carefully select beautiful old wool blankets and give them a second life in our cuddly toys, jackets, and other items. We fill our cuddly toys with leftover fabrics and use scraps for our bunting, so that nothing goes to waste.
With Wollo, you choose sustainability, craftsmanship, and fun. Every product is made with care for you, for the planet, and for the future.
Birth announcement card
Have your own complete birth announcement card designed – a special design for your little one. You can have an animal, drawing, or message illustrated that suits you.
Having a card illustrated, including printing, for 50 pieces costs 125 euros . A small surcharge applies for special paper choices or extra cards, to be discussed.
Illustrator Malu Versteeg designs the card personally for you and takes the time to refine the design with a feedback session.
