The story of Wollo Family: From 10 years of friendship to one lasting dream

We are Martine and Malu. Two friends who view the world with a healthy dose of enthusiasm and see opportunities, colors, and ideas everywhere. Our friendship goes back over ten years: we were colleagues, party buddies, housemates, and now proud business partners again. That strong bond is the driving force behind Wollo Family. With a big heart for sustainability and a healthy dose of work ethic, we create something valuable every day.

From Studio Nuiti to the world of Wollo

Wollo was born from a passion to create something truly tangible from existing materials. Through upcycling, we transform beautiful vintage blankets into unique items. Think of cheerful wool cuddles, soft accessories, and quirky sustainable children's clothing. No two days are the same, and that is exactly how we like it.

Our way of working: Freedom & Craftsmanship
We were both raised in a free-spirited environment, and we bring that mentality to our studio. We take on every challenge and genuinely do what we enjoy. In our studio, our talents complement each other perfectly. While one designs a new pattern for a jacket, the other ensures that the story behind our sustainable products is perfect down to the last detail. Together, we make everything ourselves, with care, attention, and the finest vintage wool.

For us, Wollo is just the beginning. Our dream is to continue growing in the coming years with an even larger collection of sustainable children's clothing and special toys. We want to be the go-to place for the most unique and sustainable gifts that truly tell a story.

OUR MISSION

Zero Waste

At Wollo, we believe that every fiber counts. That is why we make our cuddly toys from materials that would otherwise end up as waste, such as discarded blankets and leftover fabrics from workshops. Instead of using new raw materials, we give existing textiles a second life.

Every piece of fabric, every thread, is chosen and processed with care. What remains? Almost nothing.

Sustainable

Sustainable living starts with small choices, and Wollo is one of them. We believe that products should not only be beautiful and made with love, but also be good for the world we live in.

That is why we work primarily with recycled materials, produce locally and by hand, and consciously choose quality that lasts. No mass production, no waste, but cuddly toys with a soul, made with respect for people and the environment.
